bayou music
more proof that i have no idea how my brain works.
i wake up woke a new song stuck in my head EVERY MORNING. it is very strange because it's a different one every day. so i decided to post them here, make a playlist of all the songs and see what it would sound like if i sat down and listened in order. today, i add to that momentous task.
song: Lodi
artist: Creedence Clearwater Revival
this is how i know i'm crazy:
the song is called "Lodi." i know i've heard that at least once in my life. but i wake up singing "oh lord. stuck in a low di-a-gin." what the hell am i singing? what the hell is a "low di-a-gin?" ok, so maybe i'll chalk it up to it being first thing in the morning and just move on.
Let me just also clear up a common misconception: CCR were not "Born on a Bayou" as the song may claim. they are from the San Francisco Bay Area. they just chose to sing about the south and living in the south and being southerners. what's the matter boys, jealous?
