for those of you keeping track at home:
i wake up every morning with a diff'rent song stuck in my head. an "ear worm" if you will. the song is usually gone by the time i get out of the shower, but i decided to see if i could try to remember them. i'm gonna sock it to you today.

Riley had her one hit in the late 60s, and boy was it a big one. this song not only shot up the country charts, but it was a huge top 40 hit as well as spawning a motion picture and a tv series. this feat wouldn't be repeated until Dolly Parton did it in the 80s with her hit "9 to 5". the best part about this song: adding a little country flair to an otherwise weird playlist of songs stuck in my head first thing in the morning.

One of Jackson's toys plays this Willy Wonka-ish tune every time something touches it, like air. I've had that tune in my head on and off for two days. It's my own private hell.
